Pentium 4 3.0 GHz Northwood Vs Prescott Core, which is better? - pentium northwood
I am looking for a replacement CPU \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ update and curiosity in the database would be better to get a P4 3.0 GHz socket 478 with.
The Northwood 3.0Ghz \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ 512KB L2 or Prescott at 3.0 GHz \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ 1MB L2?
Both have HyperThreading, 800 MHz FSB

Prescott is the latest CPU.

Also less heat and more efficient.
Make sure that your motherboard supports HT, if you really want.
HT leak but a large amount of electricity, turn the processor's HOT. Many users at the end will minimize HT directly to heat.
I prefer to go for a Northwood 3.0-3,4 GHz overclock, and maybe sometimes up to 4.0 GHz.
